Challenge:  to create a striking (and drought tolerant) landscape that reflected the home’s fusion of transitional design style with its hill country roots.

Outcome: this home, built by Vogel Builders, LLC, won several awards, including both comprehensive categories –  the Judges’ Choice and the People’s Choice awards. The landscape design combined lesser utilized plant varieties with weathered steel accents to create a more contemporary approach. These elements were paired with native boulders – sourced on site – and flowing landscape lines to achieve an integrated style and to complement the overall feel of the house.
